Transparent pricing guidance for Magnolia Field advisory engagements — destination reviews, operator coaching, and shoulder-season workshops.

How we price advisory work

Every engagement is quoted after a brief scoping conversation. Fees below are starting points; final quotes depend on region size, stakeholder count, travel requirements, and timeline.

Destination Strategy Review

From $18,500 for a single-region review with up to 15 stakeholder interviews and two on-site visit days.

Larger multi-LGA projects or reviews requiring extensive data analysis are quoted individually. Travel beyond 200 km from Wollongong is billed at cost (economy flights, accommodation, ground transport).

Includes: written report, board presentation, 90-day follow-up session.

Operator Coaching

$385 per 90-minute session (video or phone)

$1,386 for a block of four sessions (10% reduction)

On-site sessions at your property within the Illawarra: $450 per session (includes travel)

Shoulder-Season Planning Workshop

$4,200 for a half-day workshop, up to 12 participants, at your venue.

Additional sessions for larger groups: $3,200 each.

Includes: facilitation, worksheets, summary document within five business days.

Council retainer (optional)

For destinations implementing a multi-year plan, we offer monthly retainers from $2,800/month for eight advisory hours. Scope and hours are fixed quarterly and reviewed together.

What affects your quote

  • Distance and access — Remote regions requiring multi-day travel increase fees.
  • Stakeholder count — More interviews mean more analysis time.
  • Deadline pressure — Rush timelines (under four weeks for a full review) carry a 20% urgency surcharge.
  • Data quality — If occupancy or visitor data must be compiled from scratch, we estimate additional research hours upfront.

Payment terms

  • Destination reviews: 40% deposit on acceptance, 40% at draft delivery, 20% on final report.
  • Coaching sessions: payable at booking.
  • Workshops: 50% deposit to secure date, balance due one week before the session.

All fees are quoted in AUD and exclude GST where applicable.

No hidden extras

We do not charge for emails, brief check-in calls related to active engagements, or reasonable revision rounds on deliverables (one round of substantive edits included in every project).
